This property is located within the Griffin – Castlecrag Conservation boundaries, in an area with an established heritage character. The design of the new dwelling was carefully considered to address the form and character of the adjoining and surrounding areas. This is achieved in part by the solidity of the building within the streetscape and the use of the feature ‘tower’ element. Beyond the facade, however, the building opens up and breaks down this formality: featuring spaces more conducive to a modern lifestyle.
