The owners of this beautiful two storey house in Mosman came to us with an approved Development Application (DA) for a first floor extension and renovation.
The design brief was to transform their two bedroom dwelling into a more useable three bedroom home, in keeping with the Spanish Mission style of the existing house.
The team at Haviland Architects worked collaboratively with our clients and consultants to develop the DA drawings for construction, including S96 amendments, obtaining a Construction Certificate, tendering out to builders and Contract Administration.
The first floor extension includes demolishing the outdated attic and constructing two bedrooms, each with an ensuite, in its place. The new first floor terrace archways also help frame district views.
The renovations include updating the ground floor living and dining rooms into more contemporary spaces, allowing for the display of the clients’ favourite art pieces.
